Terms And Conditions of Service
Quotation Cost
Maroon Logistics LLC’s quoted price covers specified services only. Additional services will incur extra charges. Engagement is official upon quote acceptance and payment receipt. Airline freight fees are subject to change by airline due to circumstances beyond Maroon Logistics LLC’s control. Prompt notification of rate changes will be provided. Maroon Logistics LLC is not liable for independently made human flight arrangements.
Pets rejected at check-in will incur a $300 charge for each additional check-in beyond the first attempt. Common reasons for rejection include but are not limited to: crate not meeting IATA regulation, health document errors or missing items, last minute flight cancellation due to weather, aircraft AC malfunction in pet hold, etc.
We must be hired at least 10 days before the requested departure date to avoid a $200 rush fee.
Airline Bookings/Journey Dates
Maroon Logistics LLC acts solely as an agent and is not liable for airline changes, cancellations, or related costs. If an airline cancels a flight, we will assist with rebooking, but any additional fees will be the client’s responsibility. We strongly recommend having a backup plan for any airline-related delays. Cargo bookings do not work the same as passenger bookings, and they are subject to change.
Payments Due
- Full Administrative fee is due initially to begin the process.
- Full payment of Airline Freight Fees is due at least 10 days before travel. If payment is not received within this period, a $100 late fee will apply. If full payment is not received 5 days before departure, the reservation will be canceled.
- $25 fee for returned bank payments.
Reimbursement/Cancellations
- Cancellations made 10 or more days before travel will result in a refund of the full payment, minus a $150 fee per animal on the reservation, and minus any actual expenses incurred. This means there is a $150 per pet non-refundable fee for our time and services, even if the flight is not booked by the time of cancellation.
- Cancellations made within 3-9 days of departure will result in a refund of the full payment, minus a $400 fee for the first animal on the reservation, minus $200 fee per additional animal, and minus any actual expenses incurred.
- Cancellations within 2 days of departure will forfeit the administrative fee (non-refundable). The administrative fee includes the initial service charge paid to Maroon Logistics LLC for processing and coordination
- Airline freight fees are refundable throughout the process, except when the airline withholds any portion of the payment. In such cases, any withheld amount will be deducted from your refund. Refund processing times are subject to the airline’s refund policy.
Accountability and Duty
While Maroon Logistics LLC meticulously plans your pet’s move, unforeseen circumstances beyond our control may occur. We cannot guarantee against illness, injury, or escape at any time. If veterinary attention is needed, we will make every reasonable attempt to contact the owner before proceeding with non-emergency treatment. However, in emergency situations, Maroon Logistics LLC reserves the right to authorize necessary medical services at the owner’s expense. The choice of veterinarian and extent of treatment will be at the discretion of our pet courier personnel. Any veterinary services required will be at the owner’s expense. While we have confidence in the airlines, kennel facilities, and contractors we engage with, once your pet is in their care, we relinquish further control and assume no further responsibility.
Shipping crates / Airline crates
Prior to the flight, it is mandatory to provide Maroon Logistics LLC with a photograph showing your animal standing next to the kennel, lying inside the kennel, and standing inside the kennel, along with the dimensions of the kennel (length x width x height). Airlines may refuse crates that do not meet IATA specifications, even if they were previously approved. The final determination is made by the airline at check-in. It is the owner’s sole responsibility to verify compliance before travel. In the event that the airline refuses the kennel, you will be responsible for covering the costs of replacing the kennel and/or rebooking your pet for the next available flight
Paperwork
All required health documents for travel must be submitted to Maroon Logistics LLC at least 1-3 days before travel. Some airlines require drafts of the health certificate 3-7 days before travel to finalize the flight booking. Maroon Logistics LLC takes no responsibility for the correctness of the documents and forms used.
Lost Health Documents: Maroon Logistics LLC facilitates document submission but is not responsible for lost paperwork once it has been transferred to the airline. In the rare event that the airline loses original documents, the owner is responsible for obtaining new copies, which must be sent via FedEx or another expedited method to Maroon Logistics.
Pet Well-being
When pets interact, they may encounter airborne viruses, allergens, and digestive issues. Vaccination protects against known strains only. Maroon Logistics LLC can’t control airborne factors. If a pet falls ill during boarding, prompt notification is provided.
Pet Demeanor
By engaging Maroon Logistics LLC, you confirm that your pet is non-aggressive toward humans and has no history of biting. You are liable for medical expenses if your pet bites or harms a human. If a pet poses a safety risk, Maroon Logistics LLC reserves the right to refuse service at its sole discretion. Airlines also have the authority to refuse transportation if they determine that the pet is aggressive or unsafe for travel. In such cases, airline freight fees will be refunded minus any amount withheld by the airline.
